Meeting of Women Leaders: Opinions and Achieved Results

The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova noted that our country's foreign policy promotes the exchange of best practices, as well as strengthening the role of youth and women in international relations.

The UN Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the Least Developed, Landlocked Developing and Small Island States Rabab Fatima emphasized that the Avaza Agenda for Action includes tasks to ensure gender equality, and the successful implementation of these tasks will help in positively addressing the problems faced by women.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali Al-Missned drew attention to the humanitarian activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation in providing assistance to children in need of guardianship.

The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva emphasized the need to continue actively studying best practices in ensuring the broad participation of women in economic and political life.

Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Sevil Mikailova noted that empowering women in decision-making is a proven strategy for sustainable development.

Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS Ivana Zivkovic emphasized the important role of women in implementing the Avaza Action Plan.

Following the meeting, a Final Declaration was adopted. The forum demonstrated the important role of women in society and showed that empowering them and actively participating in political decision-making at the national and international levels are essential conditions for building a sustainable society.

Invitation to Participate in the International Online Olympiad in Finance

The Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management invites students from Turkmenistan and foreign universities to take part in the 2nd Open International Online Olympiad in “Finance”, which will be held on November 14.

According to “Turkmenistan: The Golden Age”, all interested students studying in various fields are welcome to participate. Each university may nominate up to four students.

The Olympiad will be conducted individually. The official languages of the competition are Turkmen, Russian, and English.

Winners will receive diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees. Participants who successfully complete all six tasks but do not win will be awarded certificates of merit.
