Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia continues to be one of the leading trade and economic partners of the Central Asian countries, with a total annual trade turnover exceeding $45 billion.
He emphasized the potential for cooperation in energy, digitalization, logistics, and both the extractive and processing industries. According to Lavrov, particular focus is being placed on the development and use of critical raw materials and artificial intelligence technologies.
He also reminded about the upcoming "Russia – Central Asia" summit, scheduled for October in Dushanbe. Leaders of the six countries are expected to discuss a wide range of topics, including trade, investment, industry, and scientific-technical cooperation.
