President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree to introduce a new state honor, the Order of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. The award is named after the prominent Sufi poet and philosopher, whose intellectual legacy has been a cornerstone of Turkic spiritual identity for centuries.
The order will be conferred upon Kazakh citizens and foreign nationals who have made significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of Yasawi’s heritage. It recognizes exceptional efforts in strengthening cultural and spiritual values, as well as outstanding achievements in the study of Turkic history.
Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the 12th-century author of the renowned "Diwani Hikmet," is a key historical figure who spread humanistic teachings across Central Asia. His influence played a vital role in shaping the moral and religious framework of the region’s Turkic-speaking populations.
The establishment of this state award aims to elevate the prestige of Turkestan as a spiritual hub for the Turkic world. By honoring those who safeguard the philosopher’s teachings, Kazakhstan continues to promote Yasawi’s enduring message of wisdom and unity on the global stage.

Facing a record drop in fertility rates, Singapore is significantly expanding its family support framework. According to Bloomberg, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced increases in direct financial assistance alongside enhanced housing benefits for young families.
Under the updated policy, every Singaporean child up to the age of 17 will be eligible to receive up to 70,000 Singapore dollars (approximately $55,000 USD) in total support, which includes cash payouts, educational grants, and related benefits. The government is also expanding paid parental leave and capping monthly out-of-pocket costs for government-subsidized childcare at 150 Singapore dollars.
These interventions aim to reverse a severe demographic decline, marked by last year's fertility rate drop to 0.87 children per woman, while over 20% of the country's population is currently aged 65 or older.
