The Ambassador of Iran to Ashgabat, Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani, expressed appreciation for Turkmenistan’s humanitarian support and highlighted the strong partnership between the two nations.

Speaking at a briefing held at the embassy, he described Turkmenistan as one of Tehran’s most significant regional allies, emphasizing the stable and constructive nature of bilateral ties.

He also pointed out that the two countries share a border stretching approximately 1,200 kilometers, along which four major crossing points operate. These crossings, he noted, play a crucial role not only in bilateral cooperation but also in regional and global trade flows.

The ambassador gave special recognition to Turkmenistan’s assistance in facilitating the return of Iranian citizens from abroad. According to him, neighboring countries serve as the most accessible transit routes, and Turkmenistan has provided substantial support in this regard.

Ruzbehani added that relations between the two nations exemplify good neighborly cooperation, with joint efforts across multiple sectors continuing to expand in a spirit of partnership. Both governments are also working to ensure the smooth functioning of border operations.

Earlier, a humanitarian shipment was sent to the Iranian people, particularly children, through a charitable foundation named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. Acting on the instructions of Serdar Berdimuhamedow, the aid included medicines, medical supplies, and other essential goods.
