On June 5, the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute will host an international scientific conference titled "Science and Education in the 21st Century." This event, dedicated to the celebration of Science Day, will be conducted virtually, allowing researchers from around the globe to participate in an online format. The forum is designed to facilitate academic exchange in Turkmen, Russian, and English, catering to a diverse international scholarly audience.

The organizing committee invites prominent scientists, professors, and academic staff from both domestic and foreign higher education institutions to take part in the proceedings. The conference is structured into five thematic sections, covering a broad array of disciplines. These include historical and social sciences, innovative pedagogical methods for the younger generation, contemporary linguistic issues, and the critical intersection of natural sciences with sustainable environmental development.

A dedicated portion of the conference will focus on the integration of exact sciences and digital technologies within the modern educational framework. Participants will engage in robust discussions concerning the most pressing challenges of 21st-century science, aiming to align academic research with the practical needs of the global education system. The forum serves as a strategic platform for fostering international synergy and presenting cutting-edge research findings.

Prospective participants are required to submit their registration details, speech abstracts, and brief summaries to the organizing committee by May 20. Switzerland Opens Applications for Government Excellence Scholarships for Young Turkmen Researchers

The Swiss Government has officially opened the application cycle for its Excellence Scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year. The program target young specialists and researchers from Turkmenistan seeking to conduct post-graduate research or pursue doctoral studies at top Swiss universities and research institutes.

Key applicant requirements:

A Master’s degree or equivalent academic/professional credential;

Age limit: born after December 31, 1991;

A detailed research proposal including a timeline, core methodology, and planned objectives;

An official letter of academic sponsorship from a host professor in Switzerland;

For applicants currently residing in Switzerland, the entry date must not precede August 1, 2026.

The grant includes a monthly allowance, health insurance coverage, partial housing subsidies, and travel expenses. Research fellowships range from 6 to 12 months in duration. Electronic application submissions will remain open through November 27, 2026. Application procedures for Turkmen citizens are overseen by the Embassy of Switzerland in Baku.
