International Scientific Conference on Innovative Technologies Opens at Turkmen State University
14 May. 06:11The Magtymguly Turkmen State University officially launched the international scientific and practical conference titled "Modern Scientific Research and Innovative Technologies." Organized via a digital platform, the forum is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the national Day of Science. The event serves as a high-level venue for discussing the integration of modern science with industrial sectors and showcasing the country's academic progress.
The conference brought together over 100 prominent scientists and professors from 24 countries, including the Russian Federation, China, Italy, Turkey, and India. Additionally, 288 representatives from 30 domestic higher education institutions and research centers are participating in the sessions. This diverse international presence facilitates a global exchange of ideas, focusing on the latest advancements in research methodology and the practical application of new technologies.
The primary objective of the symposium is to promote international collaboration based on mutual trust and shared academic values. Participants are exploring various ways to implement cutting-edge scientific achievements into the socio-economic framework of the country, meeting the demands of a new historical era. The conference provides an essential platform for young researchers and established scholars to discuss the results of their ongoing experimental and methodical work.
During the plenary sessions, keynote speakers emphasized the vital link between science, education, and production as a driver for reaching Sustainable Development Goals. Discussions centered on strengthening ties between international academic communities to train highly qualified specialists and scientific personnel. Complementing the academic program, an exhibition was staged in the university lobby, featuring innovative projects and research publications developed by the faculty and students.

Entrance Examinations for Higher and Secondary Vocational Institutions Completed in Turkmenistan
24 Aug. 18:38Turkmenistan has officially concluded its admission campaign for higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year. Held between July 13 and August 24, 2026, the examination process was conducted under state commission oversight and public supervision. Notably, entrance exams at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were administered using a standardized testing format.
Following the examination results, over 18,000 applicants were admitted to higher education institutions. Under the newly implemented "Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052," several new academic tracks were established across specialist, bachelor's, and master's degree levels, aligning with the "Atlas of Future Professions." Priority admission status was granted to international competition winners, top athletes, and high school medalists.
