The Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz hosted the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference focused on the rational utilization of natural resources within the agricultural sector. Conducted via a digital platform, the event aimed to bolster international dialogue on food security and sustainable agricultural development. Participants addressed the critical need for adapting the agro-industrial complex to global climate shifts, emphasizing the necessity of modern management strategies.

This significant scientific forum brought together representatives from 17 nations, including China, Russia, Turkey, Belarus, and several Central Asian and European countries. The diverse geographical participation highlights the global importance of the topics discussed and the commitment of the international community to seeking collaborative, innovative solutions. The conference represents a strategic move toward integrating Turkmenistan’s agricultural research into the broader global scientific landscape.

Approximately 400 delegates from 115 organizations participated in the event. The Turkmen scientific community was represented by 21 higher education and research institutions, while the international academic sector featured 94 diverse science and education centers. Throughout the sessions, nearly 280 scientific papers were analyzed, covering a wide array of topics ranging from advanced soil management to digital farming techniques.

The primary outcome of the conference was the formulation of practical recommendations for optimizing the use of water, land, and energy resources. A special focus was placed on eco-friendly production methods that minimize the human footprint on natural ecosystems. Attendees concluded that implementing resource-saving technologies is the only viable path toward maintaining high agricultural productivity while ensuring environmental preservation for future generations.
