Hindi Language Classroom Opens in Ashgabat to Strengthen Educational Ties
23 Jan. 13:23A new Hindi language classroom has been officially opened at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages in Ashgabat. The opening ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Turkmenistan Bandaru Wilsonbabu, and members of the Indian diplomatic mission.
The classroom is equipped with modern educational technology designed to enhance the study of the Hindi language. Students now have access to works by Indian writers as well as informational resources on India’s cultural heritage. The space is also intended for hosting literary readings, competitions, and thematic academic events.
During the ceremony, linguistics students delivered presentations in Hindi, demonstrating their language skills. The launch of the classroom aims to further develop educational and cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and India, while also improving the quality of language specialist training in Turkmenistan.

Entrance Examinations for Higher and Secondary Vocational Institutions Completed in Turkmenistan
24 Aug. 18:38Turkmenistan has officially concluded its admission campaign for higher and secondary vocational educational institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year. Held between July 13 and August 24, 2026, the examination process was conducted under state commission oversight and public supervision. Notably, entrance exams at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were administered using a standardized testing format.
Following the examination results, over 18,000 applicants were admitted to higher education institutions. Under the newly implemented "Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052," several new academic tracks were established across specialist, bachelor's, and master's degree levels, aligning with the "Atlas of Future Professions." Priority admission status was granted to international competition winners, top athletes, and high school medalists.
