A meeting took place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived on a working visit to participate in an upcoming trilateral summit.

The leaders first held one-on-one talks, followed by expanded negotiations involving official delegations from both countries. Both sides emphasized that the partnership between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan is grounded in strong ties of friendship and a mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation in all key areas.

They noted with satisfaction that bilateral relations have reached a qualitatively new level in recent years.

This Friday, a trilateral summit involving Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan will be held in Avaza. The agenda includes discussions on strengthening multilateral cooperation in trade, transport, energy, and humanitarian sectors. A number of joint documents are expected to be signed following the summit.
