During the "Turkmentravel – 2026" international exhibition in Ashgabat, Alexander Krotov, CEO of the Belarusian tour operator BelIndTravel, expressed a strong commitment to developing Turkmenistan as a premier destination for Belarusian travelers. Krotov noted that the country’s diverse attractions, including the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone, the Kov-Ata underground lake, and various historical sites, offer significant appeal for international tourists seeking unique cultural experiences.

The tourism partnership between Belarus and Turkmenistan has flourished for over a decade, establishing a reliable flow of visitors. Currently, a substantial portion of travel from Turkmenistan to Belarus is driven by the parents of students enrolled in Belarusian universities. To cater to this group, the operator is designing specialized tour packages that blend family visits with cultural exploration, allowing guests to experience the architectural and historical highlights of Belarus.

At the Ashgabat forum, the company showcased more than ten distinct travel itineraries. These include ecological tours to the UNESCO-listed Belovezhskaya Pushcha, patriotic routes to the Brest Fortress, and innovative industrial tourism featuring excursions to the renowned BELAZ manufacturing facility. This wide array of options ensures that diverse traveler interests, from nature lovers to industrial enthusiasts, are met.

The CEO emphasized that the primary goal of participating in the exhibition is to foster deeper ties with Turkmen industry partners and establish balanced bilateral tourism corridors. By focusing on personalized service and authentic local experiences, BelIndTravel aims to significantly increase mutual travel volumes. The three-day event, concluding on April 16, serves as a pivotal stage for advancing the company’s regional growth strategy.
