Turkmenistan is preparing to establish a specialized National Negotiating Team to institutionalize its approach toward joining the World Trade Organization (WTO). This diplomatic body will be explicitly mandated to represent the state's commercial and legal interests during formal accession segments. The institutional development marks a significant advancement in the country's long-term strategy to incorporate its economic models into the global multilateral trading framework.

The infrastructural preparation for this integration has been progressing systematically through targeted governmental commissions that analyze transnational trade regulations. Previous administrative efforts resulted in the drafting of the Memorandum on the Foreign Trade Regime, alongside the creation of a dedicated WTO cooperation department within the Ministry of Finance and Economy. These entities focus on aligning domestic regulatory legislation with global trade standards.

According to the newly drafted operational timeline, an official session is scheduled for the first third of June to conduct structural assessments of the finalized foreign trade documentation. Concurrently, the state will initiate collaborative evaluations with European and Asia-Pacific member states to select an authorized country to chair the specialized WTO Working Party on the accession of Turkmenistan.

The approved strategic plan also outlines comprehensive technical capacity-building measures for the selected national negotiators. Representatives from the delegation will be integrated into specialized training modules and will attend institutional WTO assemblies under an official observer status. The Head of State reiterated that expanding cooperation with major global financial and trade entities remains a foreign policy priority to foster sustainable economic growth.
