“Art and Poetry” Festival for People with Visual and Hearing Impairments Held in Ahal Province

From September 9 to 14, 2025, the traditional “Art and Poetry” festival for members of the Society of the Blind and Deaf of Turkmenistan was held in Ahal province with support from the local administration.
Around 110 participants from Ashgabat and various regions took part in the cultural event. Over six days, individuals with visual and hearing impairments showcased prepared concert performances.
Since the early 2000s, the society has been organizing such creative festivals annually. Artistic groups operate across all provinces and are highly respected. In 2024, performances were also held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone as part of a cultural week.
The festival served as a platform for expressing patriotic feelings, celebrating national traditions, and showcasing cultural pride. Through art and poetry, participants shared their hopes, love for their homeland, and national values.
The event was well-organized thanks to the efforts of the Ahal province administration, various public organizations, and volunteers, including the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan.
Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the attention and support, noting the lasting impressions the festival left on them.
