A major robbery occurred at the MUVI Archaeological Museum in Villena, Spain, on August 27. Around 5:20 AM, unidentified perpetrators broke into the building and stole a substantial portion of the famous Bronze Age "Treasure of Villena." Although security services responded within four minutes of the alarm sounding, the thieves managed to escape beforehand.

According to El País, the stolen artifacts weigh approximately 10 kilograms and include gold and iron bracelets, bowls, vessels, and ornate parts of a royal scepter. Authorities in Alicante confirmed that the museum sustained immense financial and cultural losses. Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation, though no suspects have been detained yet.

The collection is widely considered one of the most significant Bronze Age archaeological finds in the Iberian Peninsula.
