On June 10, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, held two strategic institutional meetings in Tbilisi with senior Georgian officials to advance multi-sectoral bilateral cooperation.

The Ambassador first met with the Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani. During the negotiations, the parties reviewed the protection of human rights, the modernization of national human rights frameworks, and methods to enhance their operational efficiency in the field. The participants emphasized the positive growth trajectory of Turkmen-Georgian diplomatic relations and expressed mutual readiness to intensify professional peer-to-peer exchange programs between the relevant legal authorities of both nations.

A separate bilateral session was conducted with the Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Policy, George Mikanadze. The dialogue focused heavily on strengthening international partnerships within academic structures and regional youth policy. The officials prioritized the following developmental milestones:

Expanding the bilateral legal and statutory frameworks

Enhancing academic mobility for both university students and faculty members

Executing joint educational tracks and collaborative research projects
