The diplomatic passport belonging to Yuri Gagarin, the first human in space, has been put up for auction in Marbella, Spain. The International Autograph Auctions house has set an estimated starting price of at least €25,000 for the historical document used during his international travels.

Originally issued on September 25, 1963, for a one-year period, the passport's validity was subsequently extended multiple times through 1967. Soviet exit visas and border stamps indicate that Gagarin utilized the document during his global "Mission of Peace" tours, which included visits to countries such as France, Cuba, Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Norway.

Despite its museum-grade historical value and standard archival status within former Soviet institutions, details regarding how the official document entered a private collection remain unknown. The public auction is scheduled to take place in Marbella on September 24.
