Within the first day of release and the early hours of the second day, the movie generated box office revenue exceeding one billion rubles, marking a major milestone for the regional film industry.
Premiering on January 1, the film surpassed the 1.02 billion ruble threshold by the following morning, drawing a large audience on its opening day. Such box office success has attracted attention not only in Russia but also among film distributors in Turkmenistan, where international cinema trends are closely monitored.
Second place in box office rankings was taken by the animated feature “Prostokvashino,” which also premiered on New Year’s Day and demonstrated strong viewer turnout. The third position was secured by the film “Buratino,” which attracted a substantial number of cinema-goers during its first day.
Industry observers note that the strong performance of these films highlights the enduring popularity of family-oriented cinema — a genre that continues to resonate with audiences in Turkmenistan as well.
