Turkmenistan to Provide Humanitarian Aid to Earthquake Victims in Afghanistan
During a working meeting in the city of Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, announced that Turkmenistan will send humanitarian assistance to Afghan citizens affected by the recent earthquake. This was reported by TDH.
The National Leader recalled that during his recent visit to Afghanistan — related to the launch of a new phase of the TAPI gas pipeline along the Serhetabat–Herat route — the Afghan side requested assistance for those left homeless due to the disaster.
“We must extend a hand of friendship to the Afghan people and provide them with the necessary support,” said Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He instructed the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City, Dovranmyrat Orazov, to develop proposals on the matter and present them to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The National Leader emphasized that offering help to a neighboring country reflects the humanitarian values of the Turkmen people and their enduring commitment to doing good. “Throughout history, our nation has upheld noble traditions, and today, those customs continue with dignity,” he added.
