Last week’s sessions at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan resulted in significant commercial activity, with 32 international transactions successfully registered. The total value of contracts signed with foreign investors exceeded 57.883 million USD. These figures highlight the continued strategic importance of Turkmenistan as a reliable supplier of industrial and chemical resources to international markets.

The energy and chemical sectors remained the primary drivers of export growth. Business representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan focused their acquisitions on base oils produced by the "Turkmennebit" State Concern. Additionally, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan secured supplies of ECO-93 gasoline, an environmentally friendly fuel produced by the "Turkmenhimiya" State Concern, reflecting the increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the region.

Diversification of exports was evident in the textile and food sectors as well. Buyers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the UAE acquired substantial quantities of wheat flour, cotton yarn, and technical-grade fatty acids. The inclusion of these processed goods in the weekly exchange report underscores the country’s efforts to shift toward a more value-added export model, promoting its domestic manufacturing capabilities on a global stage.

Domestic trade also showed robust results, with local entrepreneurs purchasing goods worth over 61.120 million TMT for the internal market. Key purchases by Turkmen businesses included polypropylene, packaging film, and various textile materials intended for domestic production cycles. This dual success in both foreign and domestic exchange operations reinforces the exchange’s role as a vital platform for economic regulation and international trade facilitation within Central Asia.
