The findings indicate that Turkmenistan has successfully positioned itself within the top ten nations contributing to the expanding inbound tourism sector of the neighboring state.

According to official migration metrics compiled from January to April 2026, approximately 108,400 Turkmen citizens traveled to Uzbekistan. This volume of cross-border movement places Turkmenistan seventh globally in terms of visitor arrivals, highlighting the steady reinforcement of bilateral, economic, and cultural linkages between the two neighboring Central Asian countries.

The overarching travel registry shows that the highest volume of inbound arrivals originated from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan. These countries were followed in the rankings by the Russian Federation, Afghanistan, and China, completing the upper tier of the international passenger classification. The data reflects a broader trend of enhanced regional connectivity and cross-border mobility.

Cumulatively, the host nation experienced a profound surge in international interest, welcoming approximately 4.04 million foreign nationals during the analyzed timeframe. This represents a substantial 29.9% year-on-year growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, pointing to a rapid post-pandemic recovery and strategic infrastructure development within the regional hospitality sector.
