Turkmenistan is executing comprehensive preparations for the upcoming official state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The strategic diplomatic itinerary was outlined by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, during a scheduled digital government meeting. According to the "Watan" news program, the visit aims to establish upgraded matrices for cross-border cooperation.

The foreign ministry brief indicated that since the inception of formal diplomatic ties, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan have successfully consolidated their political, commercial, energy, transport-logistics, and sociocultural exchanges. The minister emphasized that the high-level dialogue scheduled in Baku will provide a structural foundation to expand current corporate and bilateral agreements, moving fraternal inter-state mechanisms onto a highly diversified economic level.

Upon receiving the administrative report, the Head of State noted that expanding connections with Azerbaijan remains a primary component of Turkmenistan’s regional diplomacy vector in the Caspian zone. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to carefully manage the draft portfolio of bilateral treaties and institutional pacts, ensuring maximum readiness for the upcoming state itinerary to achieve productive outcomes for both nations.
