A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Rahimberdi Jepbarov, Chairman of the Board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, attended the OPEC Fund Development Forum held in Vienna, Austria. Organized under the theme "The Transition That Expands the Potential of Our Tomorrow," this international forum gathered government officials, development institution representatives, and corporate executives from across the globe. The hosting of the forum coincided with a historic milestone—the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the OPEC Fund for International Development.

During the working visit to Vienna, the Turkmen delegation held a series of strategic bilateral meetings with heads of major investment and financial entities. Specifically, productive discussions were conducted with the President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, Dr. Abdulhamid Alhalifa, the Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, and the President of the Turkic Investment Fund, Bagdad Amreyev.

Throughout these high-level talks, the parties extensively reviewed opportunities for expanding mutually beneficial partnership, implementing joint investment projects, sharing best practices in the banking and financial sectors, and fostering long-term sustainable economic growth.

Simple Vitamin Shows Surprising Results in Pre-Cancerous Blood Conditions, Study Finds

Daily high-dose supplementation of vitamin C can significantly reduce mortality risks and help prevent severe medical complications in patients with pre-cancerous blood conditions. Researchers from the Van Andel Institute in the United States and Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark reached this conclusion following a comprehensive three-year follow-up study. The international "EVITA" trial involved volunteers who were administered 1,000 mg of vitamin C daily over the course of a year, while a control group received a placebo.

Although initial hypotheses suggested vitamin C might directly inhibit abnormal cell proliferation, researchers found its primary benefit lay in strengthening the body, reducing systemic inflammation, and lowering rates of anemia, pneumonia, and internal bleeding. Over the three-year observation period, the vitamin C group exhibited a significantly higher survival rate compared to the placebo group. While experts emphasize that these findings remain preliminary and require larger clinical trials before reshaping formal medical treatment protocols, vitamin C continues to show promising potential in supportive patient care.
