An international conference focused on strengthening humanitarian ties and developing strategic creative industries was recently held in Saint Petersburg. A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Minister of Education Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiýew, attended the event. The international meeting focused on the protection of historical and cultural heritage, as well as the promotion of modern creative entrepreneurship.

The high-level gathering featured statements from senior regional leaders, including the Prime Ministers and government heads of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. During the sessions, the participants discussed global dialogue and heritage conservation, evaluating new methods for partnership in cinematography, theater, museum management, and professional artistic education.

According to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the head of the delegation highlighted during his speech that the state places particular emphasis on cultural and humanitarian cooperation within the framework of Turkmenistan's chairmanship of the CIS in 2026. The representative reiterated that the country considers cultural diplomacy an essential instrument that fosters mutual trust, stability, and respect among nations.

The Turkmen delegation confirmed its readiness to support joint structural projects, expand institutional cultural exchanges, and strengthen professional connections between the academic and creative communities of the participating nations. This approach aims to create innovative frameworks for regional integration, ensuring long-term educational and artistic development across the partner states.
