Turkmen midfielder Denis Titov joins Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on loan from Rostov
20 Feb. 12:21Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk has bolstered its squad during the winter transfer window by signing 19-year-old attacking midfielder Denis Titov. The Ashgabat-born player joins the team from FC Rostov on a loan agreement valid until December 2026. However, Rostov retains the option to recall the player earlier this summer. Titov has chosen jersey number 88 for his new campaign in the Russian First League.
The previous Youth Football League season was a breakthrough for Titov, who emerged as a key offensive engine for Rostov’s youth side. In 23 appearances, he recorded 8 goals and 7 assists. His technical stats further highlight his impact, featuring 30 created goal-scoring chances and 82 successful dribbles. Joining Neftekhimik, currently ranked ninth in the standings under head coach Kirill Novikov, provides the young midfielder with a platform to prove his skills in Russia's second-tier professional division.
A product of the Ashgabat Specialized Youth Sports School, Titov has already represented the Turkmenistan national youth team. He comes from a prominent football family; his older brother, Mikhail Titov, plays for Kyrgyzstan’s Ozgen and is a regular for the Turkmenistan national senior team. This move is seen by analysts as a crucial step for Denis's professional growth and a significant addition to Neftekhimik’s attacking depth for the spring season.
