A delegation of media professionals from Turkmenistan conducted an official working visit to Lisbon, Portugal, coordinated under the auspices of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat. As part of the itinerary, the Turkmen delegation visited the corporate headquarters of Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP), the national public broadcaster of Portugal. The high-level meeting aimed to evaluate global broadcasting benchmarks and promote bilateral technical communication.

During the structural sessions, the technical and editorial frameworks governing Portugal’s contemporary television and radio networks were thoroughly examined. The host specialists shared key operational strategies regarding the modernization of newsrooms and digital workflow transitions. The sides engaged in a comprehensive review of the current structural status of the digital media industry, analyzing shifting paradigms in consumer behavior and international content syndication.

A key highlight of the event was the comprehensive presentation delivered by the Turkmen delegation regarding the capabilities of the country's national streaming platform, Belet. The Portuguese broadcasting executives commended the sophisticated architectural build and high technological optimization of the digital platform. The app's integrated functionality for delivering low-latency live sports broadcasts alongside its expansive multimedia on-demand library attracted significant professional interest.

The state delegation comprised representatives from the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, major state publication houses, and the Turkmenportal online news agency. At the conclusion of the event, the Turkmen representatives extended their appreciation to their European counterparts for the strategic hospitality and productive professional exchange.
