Nowruz Myratdurdyýew, a senior specialist at the Myrat Garryýew State Medical University of Turkmenistan, achieved remarkable success at an international competition held in Astana, Kazakhstan. Participating in a CIS-wide program, he secured two prestigious titles simultaneously: "Best Teacher of the CIS" and "Best Young Scientist of the CIS." This dual recognition highlights the excellence of Turkmenistan’s medical education and its growing influence within the regional scientific community.

The competition, organized by Kazakhstan’s leading innovation centers, aimed to identify and honor the most talented educators and young researchers across the Commonwealth of Independent States. Myratdurdyýew was highly commended by the jury for his advanced socio-pedagogical techniques and his scientific research focused on the lexical characteristics of medical proverbs in foreign languages. His work effectively bridges the gap between linguistics and medical science, offering new insights into professional terminology.

Following the competition results, the Turkmen scholar was presented with a first-degree diploma, a commemorative badge, and an international certificate of merit. Turkmenistan Develops Bio-Agent to Neutralize Methane Emissions

Specialists at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, led by Durdymyrat Gadamov and Altyn Rahmanova, have developed a new-generation bio-agent designed to neutralize soil methane emissions. The solution utilizes local bacteria adapted to the regional climate, which harness methane monooxygenase to convert methane into carbon dioxide and water.

Methane is a major contributor to global warming, with a heat-trapping capacity in the atmosphere significantly higher than that of carbon dioxide. The newly developed bio-agent features high efficiency in industrially congested areas, cost-effectiveness through the use of local raw materials, and complete safety for human health and the environment.

This scientific breakthrough aligns with Turkmenistan's sustainable development strategy, supporting its commitments under the Global Methane Pledge to enhance environmental oversight in the energy sector.
