FC Arkadag, representing the smart city of Arkadag, has won the Turkmenistan Super Cup for the third consecutive year. In the decisive match held at the Nusay Stadium in Ashgabat, the team defeated runner-up Ahal with a convincing 3:0 scoreline.

Rahman Muratberdiyev opened the scoring in the 19th minute, while second-half goals from Begench Akmammedov (57th minute) and Shanazar Tirkishov (79th minute) sealed the victory for the reigning champions.

Established in 2023 and serving as the primary core for Turkmenistan's national team, FC Arkadag completed its third consecutive domestic double by capturing both the league title and the National Cup. Unbeaten in official domestic league fixtures since its inception, the club has now achieved a domestic treble (League, Cup, and Super Cup) for three consecutive seasons.

The team is led by head coach Vladimir Bairamov, a former national team striker, Russian Cup winner (2003/04 with Terek Grozny), and AFC President's Cup winner (2013 with Balkan), who celebrated his 46th birthday on the day of the Super Cup victory.

On the continental stage, FC Arkadag previously claimed the 2024/25 AFC Challenge League title in May 2025 by defeating Cambodia's Preah Khan Rith Svay Rieng 2:1 in the final. In the 2025/26 season, the club advanced to the Round of 16 in the AFC Champions League 2, narrowly bowing out to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr (0:1, 0:1).

This Super Cup triumph serves as a crucial warm-up ahead of their August 12 preliminary qualifier for the 2026/27 AFC Champions League 2 against Indian Super Cup holders FC Goa. A victory will secure FC Arkadag a berth in the group stage of Asia's second-tier club competition, while a loss will see them enter the AFC Challenge League.
