The President of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Vice President of Gambia.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow held a meeting with the Vice President of the Republic of Gambia, Mohamed Jallow, who arrived to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
According to TDH, Turkmenistan places great importance on developing friendly and mutually beneficial relations with various countries, including African states. In this context, the head of state confirmed the country’s readiness to develop political-diplomatic and trade-economic relations with the Republic of Gambia.
The President noted that during the visit, the guest will become acquainted with Turkmenistan’s economic achievements and hold meetings with official representatives of Turkmenistan, wishing him a successful visit.
The head of state expressed readiness to support proposals for developing relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Gambia.
The Vice President of Gambia, emphasizing the importance of cultural and humanitarian ties, expressed his country’s strong interest in cooperating with Turkmenistan in the field of education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and Vice President Mohamed Jallow confirmed their intention to continue cooperation based on shared principles and exchanged best wishes.
