A major industrial expansion is underway in the northern region of Turkmenistan to strengthen the production metrics of the domestic light industry. During a recent digital Cabinet of Ministers session, Vice-Premier N. Atagulyev delivered an institutional report focusing on the strategic launch of a specialized production facility within the existing cotton spinning factory in Dashoguz city.

The newly designed manufacturing division will focus exclusively on the processing and recycling of secondary textile industry waste materials. By integrating these sustainability measures, the enterprise will transform manufacturing byproducts into valuable consumer commodities. This commercial step aligns with the state economic program aimed at resource conservation and the implementation of circular economy models within large-scale industries.

From a commercial perspective, the upcoming unit is structured to decrease the volume of imported goods by delivering high-quality, domestically manufactured substitutes to local markets. Furthermore, the operational upgrade is projected to expand the export baseline of the national textile sector, making its products competitive internationally. The project will also deliver socioeconomic benefits to the Dashoguz province by generating new sustainable job positions for local industrial specialists.

Following the review of the operational report, the President of Turkmenistan fully endorsed the proposal to initiate the secondary production line at the Dashoguz cotton spinning factory. The Head of State explicitly directed the Vice-Premier to manage the technical implementation and oversee the execution of the factory expansion. The leadership reconfirmed that regional industrial diversification remains a high priority for the national development strategy.
