To upgrade its logistical infrastructure and optimize resource exploration operations, the State Corporation "Turkmengeologiya" has acquired a batch of four new, advanced "Sitrak ZZ4406 V395 ME" heavy-duty prime movers. The arrival of these high-performance transport units was officially reported by the sector-specific "Nebit-Gaz" newspaper, marking a key step in facilitating the timely delivery of heavy exploration assets to remote geographical coordinates.

According to engineering specifications, the "Sitrak ZZ4406 V395 ME" tractors integrate cutting-edge automotive technologies, making them highly resilient under demanding work scopes and challenging off-road terrains. Featuring a powerful engine configuration, exceptional towing capacity, and a rugged chassis system, the units are structurally engineered to withstand the extreme climatic and arid conditions of Turkmenistan. This ensures the seamless, secure, and prompt transit of critical drilling systems, heavy materials, and machinery to remote field locations.

The operational deployment of these modern transport vehicles is projected to yield significant time efficiency during the relocation of heavy drilling rigs and auxiliary support equipment from one site to another. By streamlining essential logistics, the acquisition will directly support continuous geological and exploratory initiatives, strengthening the development of the nation's underground mineral and energy reserves.

On-the-Go Power: Japanese Engineers Develop Wireless In-Road Charging for Electric Vehicles

In a major leap for electric mobility, Honda R&D, alongside Taisei Corporation and Taisei Rotec, has unveiled an innovative dynamic wireless charging system that charges electric vehicles as they drive. By embedding compact energy-transmitting modules directly into the road surface, the system transfers power via a magnetic field to receivers mounted underneath moving vehicles. Designed to withstand heavy commercial transport up to 20 tons, real-world road testing is scheduled to begin in Japan in April 2027.

The technology eliminates the need for full road reconstruction, as modules can be integrated directly into milled asphalt layers. Aimed at boosting charging power up to 150 kW in future iterations, this infrastructure solution promise to significantly reduce grid pressure on traditional charging stations, particularly for logistics and commercial fleets.
