State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan Records Key Export and Domestic Transactions
15 May. 09:21The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan has released the official results of its latest trading session, showcasing significant commercial activity from both international and domestic business entities. The auction resulted in the signing of several high-value procurement contracts across the textile and energy sectors.
On the export front, corporate buyers from the Kyrgyz Republic secured substantial contracts for the acquisition of cotton yarn manufactured by Turkmen textile enterprises. These international trade agreements, settled in foreign currency, reached a total value of 1 million 516 thousand USD, reinforcing the competitive position of Turkmenistan's textile products in regional markets.
Concurrently, the domestic market experienced robust demand as local private entrepreneurs acquired essential industrial commodities from state-owned enterprises. Turkmen businessmen finalized deals to purchase "SN-600" base oil from the "Turkmennebit" State Concern, alongside processed cotton fabrics supplied by the Ministry of Textile Industry.
According to the official exchange report, a total of three major commercial transactions were registered during the trading day. The combined value of the domestic contracts executed in the national currency amounted to 8 million 510 thousand manats, demonstrating steady economic turnover within the country’s private sector.
