The Russian Film Festival starts today, March 27, in the Turkmen capital at the "Arkach" cinema and will run until March 29. Scheduled to coincide with the spring school holidays, the festival offers a unique entertainment opportunity for students and their families. The event is organized by JSC "Roskino" with the official support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan, and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.

The festival program features four family-oriented films designed to captivate audiences of all ages. The screening opens with the adaptation of Aleksey Tolstoy's classic fairy tale, "Buratino," directed by Igor Voloshin. The lineup also includes the animated feature "Doctor Dinosaurs" by Maksim Volkov, which follows the adventures of a schoolboy named Phil Dinosaurs, and the fantasy film "Gnomes' Treasures" by Aleksandr Babaev and Vasiliy Rovenskiy.

Rounding out the selection is the colorful family film "The Frog Princess," directed by Aleksandr Amirov, based on the well-known folk tale. These films represent the modern creative direction of Russian cinema, focusing on high-quality storytelling and visual effects. The festival aims to introduce the Turkmen public to the latest achievements in Russian cinematography while providing engaging content for young viewers.

Admission to all screenings is free of charge, and tickets can be picked up at the cinema box office starting March 27. However, seating is limited, so early arrival is encouraged.
