The Russian Film Festival starts today, March 27, in the Turkmen capital at the "Arkach" cinema and will run until March 29. Scheduled to coincide with the spring school holidays, the festival offers a unique entertainment opportunity for students and their families. The event is organized by JSC "Roskino" with the official support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan, and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The festival program features four family-oriented films designed to captivate audiences of all ages. The screening opens with the adaptation of Aleksey Tolstoy's classic fairy tale, "Buratino," directed by Igor Voloshin. The lineup also includes the animated feature "Doctor Dinosaurs" by Maksim Volkov, which follows the adventures of a schoolboy named Phil Dinosaurs, and the fantasy film "Gnomes' Treasures" by Aleksandr Babaev and Vasiliy Rovenskiy.
Rounding out the selection is the colorful family film "The Frog Princess," directed by Aleksandr Amirov, based on the well-known folk tale. These films represent the modern creative direction of Russian cinema, focusing on high-quality storytelling and visual effects. The festival aims to introduce the Turkmen public to the latest achievements in Russian cinematography while providing engaging content for young viewers.
Admission to all screenings is free of charge, and tickets can be picked up at the cinema box office starting March 27. However, seating is limited, so early arrival is encouraged. This cultural initiative serves as a bridge for artistic exchange between Turkmenistan and Russia, enriching the local cultural scene and offering an inspiring cinematic experience for the youth.

The landmark event gathered regional and municipal officials, members of the Halk Maslahaty and Parliament, healthcare professionals, and community leaders. The opening ceremony featured festive cultural performances, musical numbers, and traditional Kushtdepdi dances.
The newly constructed medical complex consists of four- and five-story buildings designed to accommodate up to 305 patients. The center houses comprehensive maternity and postnatal wards, a gynecology division, pediatric units, and diagnostic consultation departments. The facility is equipped with advanced medical technology, including MRI, CT scanners, digital mammography, and fluorography units.
Notably, the center features the region's first 10-bed neonatal intensive care unit, fully outfitted with "Medicor" incubators from Hungary and high-precision German monitoring systems. These technologies allow medical staff to continuously monitor vital stats, body temperature, oxygen saturation, and respiratory functions of newborns.
During the ceremony, outstanding builders from the "Shadiyan Gurlushyk" enterprise were honored with gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, who also donated a new fleet of vehicles to support the medical center's operations.
Blitz
