Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree scheduling the elections for deputies of the country's State Duma to be held on September 20, 2026. This was reported by "INTERFAX.RU," citing a document published on Russia's official legal information portal.
The term of office for the 9th convocation of the Duma will last for five years, running until September 2031. The head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, stated that the upcoming pre-election phase will be the most complex in recent years, according to "Gazeta.ru."
