President of Turkmenistan Reviews First Quarter Performance at Cabinet Meeting

The session focused on the comprehensive outcomes of government activities across all sectors of the national economy. The Turkmen leader emphasized that maintaining steady GDP growth and ensuring the effective implementation of national programs remain the government's top priorities.
During the meeting, Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova reported on legislative advancements made between January and March. Current efforts are concentrated on drafting new laws aimed at enhancing industrial safety, streamlining financial accounting, and fostering a favorable environment for small and medium-sized enterprises. Furthermore, legislative updates are being prepared to strengthen environmental protection and modernize customs and migration procedures in alignment with international standards.
Deputy Prime Ministers provided detailed briefings on the performance of the industrial, agricultural, and service sectors under their supervision. The reports highlighted successful outcomes in meeting production targets and the advancement of major infrastructure projects throughout the country. Discussions also covered the progress of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy initiatives and cultural diplomacy, which continue to expand the nation's international partnerships.
Concluding the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov issued specific instructions to government officials to ensure the continued diversification of the economy and the integration of digital solutions. He stressed the importance of rigorous monitoring to ensure that all planned socio-economic targets for the year are met on schedule. Several key resolutions were adopted during the session, aiming to further the nation's prosperity and institutional development.
