The historical complex of the Riga railway station in Moscow has been officially listed for sale through an open auction. The starting price for the entire property, which includes historical buildings and the surrounding land, is set at over four billion rubles. This move follows an official government agreement finalized earlier this year to privatize the asset.
The auction includes two distinct structures, the primary one being the main terminal building constructed in 1901. Featuring a traditional Russian architectural style, this building spans approximately four thousand square meters. A secondary non-residential building, dating back to 1929, is also part of the real estate package.
In addition to the physical structures, the deal encompasses a significant land plot totaling over 13,500 square meters. The scale and central location of the site make it a high-value prospect for potential investors looking to repurpose or develop this iconic city landmark.
The privatization of this prominent transport hub marks a significant shift in its long-standing history. As the auction proceeds, the future use of the architectural heritage site remains a point of interest, as it transitions from a public infrastructure asset to private ownership.

North Carolina resident Christian Breton has secured a major lottery payout for the second time. According to Lottery Post, he has decided to donate a portion of his winnings to support school-aged children from low-income families in his local community.
After purchasing a $30 "$100,000 Cash Payday" scratch-off ticket, Breton claimed the $100,000 top prize, taking home $72,000 after taxes. This marks his second major win, following a $2 million prize in August 2024. Breton shared that while his previous winnings went toward helping his mother, his goal this time is to give back to the community by supporting families in need.
