Modern Dredging Equipment Deployed to Enhance Water Reservoirs in Dashoguz
06 Oct. 13:18In a major push to boost water infrastructure and operational efficiency, Dashoguz Region has initiated large-scale desilting and dredging operations across its main water reservoirs and canals. According to the "Altyn Asyr" news agency, the local state water construction enterprise has integrated four advanced Chinese-manufactured "Julong" cutter suction dredgers into its fleet. Featuring a modular pontoon structure, these specialized floating vessels can be easily transported and assembled on-site in closed water bodies, offering high performance and deep-dredging capabilities.
The newly deployed machinery has passed technical inspections and is currently operating alongside existing Dutch "Beaver" dredgers to optimize the region's drainage networks. In addition to the aquatic fleet, the enterprise’s technical inventory was further expanded with heavy-duty bulldozers, crawler excavators, and specialized vehicles, significantly reinforcing the region’s capacity to modernize its water distribution and agricultural drainage systems.
