Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan Announces International Tender for Internet Network Modernization
25 Mar. 10:00The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan has announced an international tender to modernize the country’s multiservice data transmission network (Internet). The project involves the supply, installation, and configuration of advanced telecommunications equipment to enhance the overall performance and reliability of the nation's digital infrastructure. As reported by the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper, this initiative reflects the government's commitment to accelerating digital transformation and improving online service standards for all users.
To participate in the tender, prospective bidders are required to submit a written application and acquire the official set of bidding documents. In line with international standards, proposals must be submitted in two separate envelopes: one containing the technical specifications and the other providing the commercial terms. This structured process ensures that the most technologically advanced and cost-effective solutions are selected to upgrade the existing infrastructure.
Applications are accepted within 30 business days from the date the announcement was published. The modernization of the national internet network is expected to significantly increase bandwidth, reduce latency, and provide a more robust platform for e-commerce, digital education, and telecommunication services. By investing in modern hardware and software solutions, Turkmenistan aims to build a more resilient and future-ready information ecosystem.
Interested organizations can submit their proposals to the Ministry of Communications located at 88 Archabil Avenue, Ashgabat. For further inquiries, the Ministry can be reached via telephone at (+99312) 44-90-76. This project marks a pivotal step in the country's journey toward creating a modern, high-speed digital highway that connects Turkmenistan more effectively to the global information network.
