Institutional handlers reported that immediate defensive containment actions managed to secure the perimeter walls of the primary compound, effectively blocking over one thousand other resident primates from escaping their respective holding sectors during the incident.

Following the containment breach, the city mayor issued an urgent executive directive ordering local police forces and public safety departments to expedite the tracking of the fugitives. The administration stressed that the operation must be completed swiftly to mitigate potential physical harm to the local population and prevent structural damage to commercial properties and private residential real estate.

Lopburi is internationally recognized for its extensive demographic concentration of long-tailed macaques and the iconic annual "Monkey Buffet" festival, which serves as a major economic driver for regional tourism. However, a significant increase in coordinated animal attacks against human populations, driven by competitive foraging within urban zones, eventually forced state intervention to manage the biological crisis.

To restore civil order and protect public health, environmental agencies executed a relocation campaign in 2024, transferring 2,500 urban primates into specialized large-scale suburban holding enclosures. Wildlife tracking units and veterinary specialists are currently deploying target netting and humane containment traps throughout adjacent neighborhoods to recover the remaining missing roster.
