Jubilee Medal of Turkmenistan “In Honour of the 30th Anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan”

The year 2025, proclaimed by the United Nations as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and coinciding with the solemn 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, occupies a distinguished place in our national calendar. It is marked by a sequence of international events aimed at broadly promoting Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, oriented toward strengthening peace, tranquility, and trust worldwide 

On the occasion of this 30th anniversary, various events, international forums, and academic‑practical conferences are being held within our country. The celebrations under this slogan are intended to spread constructive initiatives aligned with goals of welfare and prosperity, both regionally and globally 

Therefore, with the aim of awarding individuals who have made a worthy contribution to strengthening Turkmenistan’s Independence and permanent neutrality, as well as advancing international peace and trust, and consolidating political, economic, and cultural achievements of the country based on the guidance and wise instructions of the Hero-Arkadag, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan enacted legislation to establish the Jubilee Medal of Turkmenistan “Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna” 

The Jubilee Medal “Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna” is awarded to:

Persons who have made a significant contribution to strengthening Turkmenistan’s independence and permanent neutrality, and enhancing our homeland’s international prestige in accordance with neutrality principles;

Individuals whose labor achievements and service in implementing programs for the development of science, education, culture, arts, health, and other spheres of national life have been recognized;

Those who have rendered notable service in nurturing the younger generation in the spirit of love and loyalty to the Motherland, courage, integrity, and high spirituality;

Persons who have made a substantial personal contribution to reinforcing the defence capacity of independent and permanently neutral Turkmenistan, and ensuring the security of citizens, legality, and law and order;

Foreign citizens and stateless individuals may also be honored by the President of Turkmenistan for their deserving contributions to supporting and promoting Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality, and its international peace and trust policy 

The jubilee medal is awarded to individuals who have made a worthy contribution to strengthening the Independence of Turkmenistan, its permanent neutrality, as well as international peace and trust, and to the country's political, economic, and cultural achievements. It has been established as a mark of high recognition and respect for the work of those who serve the Homeland and promote peace, trust, and stability throughout the world.

Official Days Off in Turkmenistan in 2026

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan has officially approved the work and rest schedule for 2026. In Turkmenistan, there will be a total of 12 official public holidays across all regions.

Workweek formats are as follows:

  • Five-day workweek — 40 hours

  • Six-day workweek (7 hours/day) — 40 hours

  • Six-day workweek (6 hours/day) — 36 hours

The public holidays in Turkmenistan in 2026 are:

  • January 1 — New Year

  • March 8 — International Women’s Day

  • March 20 — Oraza Bayram

  • March 21–22 — National Spring Holiday

  • May 18 — Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan

  • May 27–29 — Gurban Bayram

  • September 27 — Independence Day

  • October 6 — Day of Remembrance

  • December 12 — International Neutrality Day

On the workday preceding a public holiday, working hours are reduced by one hour. The same applies to night shifts, and in continuous production, the schedule is equivalent to a normal day. The average monthly working time is 166.9 hours for a 40-hour workweek and 150.5 hours for a 36-hour workweek. This ensures a balanced labor schedule throughout Turkmenistan in 2026.
