Four Turkmen designers and brands are set to present their new collections at the "Who’s Next" international fashion exhibition in Paris from September 5 to 7. The creative works will be displayed at stand "W10" within the "Ready-to-Wear" section, according to Business Turkmenistan.

The participation of the Turkmen delegation was organized by the International Trade Centre with financial support from the European Union. During the exhibition, local designers will display a blend of traditional Turkmen craftsmanship and contemporary fashion design.

Designer Mukaddes Ibragimova will showcase jackets, trousers, and corsets crafted from patterned silk, denim, and ikat fabrics. The "Desert Heritage" brand will feature handmade items composed of natural cotton, linen, silk, and camel wool colored with organic dyes. Additionally, the "AYM" collection will introduce embroidered linen garments inspired by ancient Nisa, while "Binaým" will display patchwork denim apparel.

The "Who’s Next" trade show provides a global platform for Turkmen designers to introduce their works to an international audience and expand commercial partnerships.

Historic 36-Year-Old Loaf of Bread Placed on Display in Berlin Museum

A rye-wheat loaf preserved in a freezer for 36 years has been put on public display as part of the permanent exhibition at the Deutschlandmuseum in Berlin. Dubbed "The Last Loaf of the GDR," it was originally purchased on June 26, 1990, by student Michael Hagedorn, who bought an extra loaf fearing potential food shortages amidst the economic unification of East and West Germany.

The museum's director, Robert Rückel, described the unusual artifact as a unique poignant symbol of everyday human decisions during times of monumental geopolitical change. To maintain its preserved state, the museum installed a custom refrigeration unit where the historical loaf remains permanently frozen for visitors to view.
