According to the latest data from Uzbekistan’s national statistical agencies, Turkmen entrepreneurs are emerging as key partners in managing regional transport flows and developing warehousing infrastructure.

As of the end of the first quarter of 2026, the number of Turkmen-owned enterprises providing transportation and storage services in Uzbekistan has reached 15. This figure places Turkmenistan in sixth position among foreign nations operating in this sector within the country. This trend confirms that bilateral relations are strengthening not only through trade but also through deep-seated infrastructural cooperation.

While countries such as Russia, China, and Kazakhstan lead the international ranking, Turkmenistan’s entry into the top six holds significant strategic importance. The presence of firms from Afghanistan and the United States in the list highlights the competitive nature of Uzbekistan’s logistics market. Under these conditions, the consistent presence and advancement of Turkmen companies demonstrate substantial potential for future growth.

The overall momentum of trade and economic relations between the two nations is positively impacting the transport sector. Specifically, the $26 million increase in trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan since the beginning of this year creates a foundation for rising demand in logistics services. This growth is expected to drive the establishment of new joint ventures and further enhance interregional transit corridors.
