Emomali Rahmon arrived in Turkmenistan for UN conference
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports, the guest was greeted with bread and salt at the Turkmenbashy International Airport. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed the head of the neighboring state.
Rahmon expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the forum. "It is a great honor for me to participate in an event of global significance," the leader of Tajikistan emphasized.
The parties noted the active development of bilateral relations and interaction within international organizations. The participants of the meeting expressed confidence in the productive work of the UN conference and the positive impact of the agreements reached on the sustainable development of the economies of the participating countries.

A solemn opening ceremony of the automobile bridge over Garabogaz Bay was held in Turkmenistan, timed to coincide with the Day of Workers in the Construction and Industrial Complex, celebrated on November 3.
As reported by the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan," the construction contractor was the Ukrainian company "Altkom." The bridge meets international quality standards and technical operation norms.
The bridge spans 354 m in length and 21 m in width. The two-way roadway is designed for vehicles with a carrying capacity of 40-50 tons. Construction utilized sulfate-resistant cement, reinforced concrete structures, and other high-strength materials ensuring resistance to corrosion, deformation, and seismic loads.
The new structure is intended to provide high throughput in international freight road transport. At the opening ceremony, it was noted that the bridge symbolizes good neighborliness and friendship among the peoples of the region.
