This figure marks a substantial increase of 76.67% compared to the previous year, when earnings stood at approximately $3.7 million. The sharp upward trend highlights Egypt's growing appeal as a destination for international patients seeking high-quality healthcare services.

Ahmed El-Sobky, head of the healthcare authority, attributed this growth to the comprehensive enhancement of medical service quality and the rising standards within the nation's hospitals. By prioritizing clinical excellence and modernizing healthcare infrastructure, the government has successfully managed to attract a larger volume of foreign visitors requiring specialized medical interventions.

A key element of this strategy is the "In Egypt, We Care" initiative, which focuses on providing tailored treatment programs for international patients. To streamline the experience, authorities have integrated advanced digital systems that monitor and support patients throughout their entire medical journey. These digital tools ensure efficient communication between medical providers and patients from arrival to post-treatment recovery.

Looking forward, Egypt aims to cement its status as a premier regional and global hub for medical tourism. The government plans to expand partnerships with private insurance companies and international brokerage firms to further boost the sector's reach.
