The admission campaign for specialized professional colleges is currently underway in the Republic of Belarus, with approximately 70,000 school graduates seeking vocational qualifications this academic year. According to MIR 24 correspondent Polina Babuk, medical programs have experienced the highest level of interest among applicants, attracting a substantial number of candidates from abroad.

The quality of medical training and healthcare standards in Belarus are widely recognized across the Commonwealth of Independent States. At the Minsk State Medical College, regarded as one of the country's most prestigious vocational institutions, prospective students queued early in the morning to submit their admission documents and secure access to advanced clinical training.

Among the international applicants who submitted their credentials were students from Turkmenistan. Applicant Dovlet Rustemov selected the dentistry track, citing the high qualifications of the teaching staff and practical training, while his peer Murat Atayev, who comes from a family of medical professionals, applied for the dental prosthetics program while noting the country's favorable climate and environment.

The institution's international intake expanded further this year with the enrollment of fee-paying students from Zimbabwe. According to the report, the tuition fee for international students at the Minsk Medical College exceeds 4,000 Belarusian rubles per academic year.
