A grand concert dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater in Ashgabat, drawing an audience of over 750 people. The event was organized through the joint efforts of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Russian Federation. The audience included members of the international diplomatic corps, local residents, and guests of the capital, all gathered to pay tribute to the historical milestone.

The State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, conducted by Resul Klychev, delivered a powerful performance alongside various soloists and choral groups. The repertoire featured iconic wartime compositions that resonate with themes of courage and remembrance. The program commenced with the stirring "Sacred War," followed by timeless classics such as "Cranes," "Dark Night," and "The Soldier’s Song," which were performed by the State Choir and students from the joint Turkmen-Russian A.S. Pushkin School.

Beyond the musical arrangements, the event featured moving recitations of authentic frontline letters and wartime poetry. Performers and students, dressed in historical military attire, brought a profound sense of authenticity to the stage. Russian Ambassador Ivan Volynkin delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the shared historical legacy between the two nations. The two-hour tribute concluded with a standing ovation during the performances of "Katyusha" and "Victory Day," reflecting the deep emotional impact of the evening.

This commemoration also served as a reminder of Turkmenistan’s significant contribution to the war effort. Historical records show that approximately 300,000 citizens of Turkmenistan fought on the front lines, with 130,000 receiving military honors and medals. Among them, 104 individuals were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. The concert effectively honored this legacy of bravery and sacrifice through the universal language of music and art.
