Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan inspected the construction of a mosque in the city of Arkadag.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paid a working visit to the city of Arkadag, where he inspected the progress of construction projects being implemented in the new city.

During the visit, the National Leader visited the mosque under construction in Arkadag. He noted that the construction of religious sites is aimed at long-term development and serves as a symbol of the prosperity of the Turkmen people.

Charitable donations for the construction of the mosque are being made by citizens of Turkmenistan as well as representatives of foreign countries. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that this reflects the continuity of good traditions, according to TDH.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “expressed boundless gratitude to all those contributing to the construction of the mosque and noted that their path is blessed and the Almighty will bestow blessings upon their charitable donations.” The National Leader “prayed that the prayers offered in the new mosque in honor of this noble deed would be accepted by the Almighty.”

During the inspection, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan emphasized the special role of mosques as centers of spiritual life for the Muslim community. He noted that in Turkmen culture, mosques are traditionally seen as sacred places, and participation in their construction is regarded as a noble deed.

The National Leader expressed hope that the new mosque would become an important spiritual center for the residents of Arkadag and would contribute to strengthening religious traditions in the region.

A Series of Events Promoting the Russian Language and Culture to Be Held in Ashgabat

From November 24 to 28, Ashgabat will host a series of cultural and educational events as part of the Russian Federation’s state program “Support and Promotion of the Russian Language Abroad,” according to the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture “Rosconcert.”

The program features performances by the Ural State Academic Russian Folk Choir, a traditional Russian folk gathering by the Moscow Folk Choir, as well as educational seminars and master classes focused on the Russian language.

Additionally, visitors will be able to attend an exhibition of traditional Russian costumes from the private collection of Sergey Glebushkin.
