Ashgabat hosts international media forum “FC Arkadag — pride and future of Turkmen football”
09 Feb. 16:45The international media forum titled “FC Arkadag — pride and future of Turkmen football” has started in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The event is held on February 11 ahead of the important AFC Champions League Two Round of 16 match between Ashgabat’s Arkadag and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr.
The forum brings together representatives of Turkmenistan’s sports organizations, as well as international sports media journalists from Russia, China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.
The opening ceremony took place in the hall of the Olympic Complex of the International Broadcasting Center. The program includes speeches by heads of relevant Turkmen state committees, representatives of national media, and journalists from leading international sports broadcasters such as China’s CCTV-5, Russia’s Mir 24, Turkey’s TRT Sport, and Azerbaijan’s Idman TV.
The AFC Champions League Two Round of 16 match between Arkadag and Al-Nasr is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, at 6:45 p.m. local time in Ashgabat. The match will be officiated by Bahraini referee Ammar Ibrahim Hasan Mahfud.
