Youth Delegation of Turkmenistan Explores India Under Technology and Culture Program

The journey spans three major Indian cities: Mumbai, Goa, and New Delhi. This initiative is designed to foster youth diplomacy and strengthen humanitarian ties in critical sectors such as technology, science, culture, and social entrepreneurship, allowing participants to gain insights into India's rapid developmental strides.
During the Mumbai leg of the trip, the delegation engaged with the Bombay Stock Exchange and visited the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay), a global leader in engineering education. The cultural itinerary featured visits to the Elephanta Caves, the Gateway of India, and the Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari film studio. A highlights of the stay in Maharashtra was the official meeting with the State Governor, which provided a platform for discussing the role of youth in regional development and international cooperation.
Today, March 28, the delegation is stationed in the state of Goa. The program includes exploring the 17th-century Portuguese Aguada Fort and the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral. Upcoming activities feature a visit to the National Institute of Oceanography in Dona Paula, where the youth will learn about India’s advancements in marine research and the "blue economy." These experiences highlight the fusion of historical preservation and modern scientific inquiry that defines contemporary India.
The final phase of the program will take place in New Delhi, featuring high-level interactions with India's Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Minister of External Affairs. The participants will exchange ideas with members of the "Mera Yuva Bharat" youth program to discuss future collaborative projects. The tour will conclude with visits to iconic landmarks such as Humayun's Tomb, symbolizing the deep cultural roots that connect the two regions. This program marks a significant step in building a bridge of friendship and mutual understanding between the youth of Turkmenistan and India.
