Turkmen MMA fighter Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov suffered a defeat in his PFL light heavyweight title bout against American contender Corey Anderson in Dubai. The judges awarded the victory to Anderson, bringing an end to Yagshimuradov’s impressive seven-fight winning streak.
Yagshimuradov entered the fight on a high note, having captured the PFL championship in November 2024 by knocking out Impa Kasanganay in the first round of the Grand Prix final.
In the early stages of the bout, Yagshimuradov looked strong, landing heavy strikes and maintaining control in the stand-up exchanges. However, as the fight progressed, Anderson began to leverage his wrestling advantage, successfully taking the fight to the ground. The fourth round proved especially challenging for the Turkmen fighter, with Anderson dominating from top position.
This marks Yagshimuradov’s second loss to Anderson — the two previously met in April 2021 at Bellator 257.
