Ding Xuexiang, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan from April 15 to 17. According to a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the Vice Premier is visiting at the invitation of the Turkmen leadership, serving as a special envoy for President Xi Jinping.

A primary objective of the visit is to attend the inaugural ceremonies marking the start of the fourth phase of development at the Galkynysh gas field. This collaborative energy project remains a cornerstone of the bilateral economic relationship, ensuring long-term energy security and fostering industrial growth for both nations.

Furthermore, Ding Xuexiang will preside over the Chinese delegation at the seventh meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Cooperation Committee.
