Sara B. Rogers assumed her current executive role within the Department of State on October 10, 2025, where she oversees international public engagement, global educational frameworks, and cross-border cultural exchange programs. Her diplomatic mission to Ashgabat is a strategic component of a comprehensive South and Central Asian tour spanning from May 27 to June 10, 2026, which incorporates official state visits to India, Nepal, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. This regional tour constitutes Rogers' first major institutional visit to the Central Asian region since her appointment to the office.
